Sleeping separately? Happy together

Going out together as a couple, but sleeping separately at night? Sounds like a taboo subject, but guess what? Sleeping Apart Together (SAT) is making serious inroads. Hotel Acropolis in Middelkerke is the first in Belgium to capitalise on this with unique Sleeping Apart Together hotel rooms. Turning a taboo into a trend? We like to put our money where our mouth is.

Small Talk loves to get people talking.

This innovative hotel concept called for an approach that sticks and stimulates. We therefore created unique visual material and enlisted the help of sexologist Goedele Liekens to help break the taboo. ‘Sleeping separately the beginning of the end? Nonsense! 1 in 4 couples does it, resulting in a better relationship.’

And the reactions?

We targeted the health, lifestyle and news media to start the conversation. Online and offline, written and spoken. And the reactions? They came from all sides: journalists and couples who finally openly admitted that they prefer to sleep apart at home. And so Small Talk turned a deadly taboo into a trending talking point.
